frozen smoothie packs — took me ages to actually do this

Right so I've been meaning to prep these for about three summers running and finally just did it. Basically I portioned out smoothie ingredients into freezer bags and now morning me is absolutely sorted. What's in mine at the moment: - 1 small banana (sliced before freezing, obviously) - handful of frozen mango chunks - big handful of spinach — you genuinely can't taste it - 1 tbsp ground flaxseed - roughly 150ml oat milk to blend, added fresh You just tip the bag into the blender, add your liquid, done. Takes about 90 seconds. I've been adding a scoop of collagen powder most mornings too — I started doing it mainly because I noticed my nails were looking a bit rough, and it blends in completely so there's no texture weirdness. Nutritionally speaking this is actually a decent breakfast rather than just a fruit hit — the flaxseed brings fibre and some omega-3, the banana gives you potassium and a decent amount of fast carbs if you're heading out for a walk or run, and the spinach adds iron and folate without really affecting the taste. Roughly 280–320 kcal per portion depending on your milk and what else you add. Not a meal replacement but honestly holds me until 10:30 or so. The trick is doing the bags on a Sunday. I did eight in one go, took maybe 15 minutes, and now the freezer is just ready. Miso was extremely in the way the entire time, mind.

haha same, it's one of those things that sounds too simple to bother with until you actually do it
