Energy balls with Matcha Collagen

If you notice a dip in energy mid-afternoon or before your workout sessions, this recipe might interest you: energy balls with collagen. 

These are nutritious and tasty snacks that will give you an energy boost and also aid in post-workout recovery thanks to the collagen they contain. 

You can store them in an airtight container in the fridge, so you have them for the whole week. These balls pair perfectly with fruit, such as strawberries, kiwi, or pineapple. 🍓🥝🍍

Ingredients

  • 400 g dates
  • 120 g raw hazelnuts
  • 50 g desiccated coconut
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons flax seeds
  • 1 scoop of Vanilla Matcha Collagen
  • 75 g dark chocolate for melting

Preparação

Prepare all the ingredients. Put the raw hazelnuts in a food processor and pulse for a few seconds.

Add the flax seeds, dates, desiccated coconut, and Matcha Collagen. Pulse again until you get a homogeneous paste. Add the honey and mix everything well. With slightly damp hands, form balls of the same size (smaller than a ping-pong ball).

Chop the dark chocolate and heat it in the microwave in 10-second intervals to prevent burning. Once completely melted, remove from heat and drizzle a thread of chocolate over the balls using a spoon.

Let the chocolate cool in the refrigerator. Serve the balls sprinkled with a little desiccated coconut on top.
